A Year in Review: 2022

As we circle back on the year that was, we are Thankful for another successful year amidst a climate of adversity.

Successful by means of quality cars we procured and sold ; successful by means of relationships fostered and those maintained ; successful by means of having a team continuously striving to deliver the legacy of the Scuderia Graziani brand: family, honour, pride and passion.

The battle of covid and conflict was yet again the theme of 2022 and yet we could really sense the eagerness of the world striving to gain a new normal.

The first half of the year continued to yield a strong demand in enquiry level for the overall market saw a shrunken stock level of quality cars available. Consecutively, as world events continued to re-shape our market, buyer and seller sentiment were on polar opposite ends assigning us with the task, evermoreso, to manage this gap so to achieve a successful result for all involved.

As the fiscal climate tightened, the second half of the year procured a healthier stock level returning to the pre-owned car market.

Enquiry levels shifted more to consigning and selling and so our humble Crown Street dealership was plentiful with stock leading into the close of yet another year.

The most proliferant brand in our stock level for 2022 was led by the German marque, Porsche, followed closely by the usual suspects of Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW, Bentley, Rolls-Royce and McLaren.

Some masterful examples in our listings included, yet were not limited to:

  • Mclaren 620R and Senna

  • Ferrari 458 Speciale to F8's and SF90 Coupe and Spiders

  • Mercedes-Benz AMG SL65 Black Series

  • Porsche 911 992 Carrera GTS's to Turbo S's

  • Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badges to Bentley Continental GT's

  • Lamborghini Huracan STO's to Aventador SVJ’s Coupes and Roadsters

A special mention is to be dedicated to the 1990 Lamborghini 25th Anniversary Countach consigned by an esteemed Client of ours. Having such an iconic piece of automobile history in our showroom is a privilege and an honour.

This famed supercar that lined the walls of many youngsters dating back three decades ago, caught the eye of famed Broadcaster Greg Rust.

Take a listen to the interview between Greg and Gianpaolo Graziani where they talk more on this special example featured on the CarSales Car Of The Year Podcast with The Showroom

- Tune in at the 31 minute mark.

"{Lamborghini} wanted to make a statement. They cared as much about the design of the car as well as it's really is something you just didn't see at the time." - Gianpaolo Graziani

The beginning of the year is a time of predictions. Everyone has a view of what lies ahead, instead we embrace the sentiment of Josiyah Martin "...The magic in new beginnings is truly the most powerful of them all... ", the rest will reveal itself, one day at a time.

On this note, the Team Scuderia Graziani wishes you all a very Safe, Healthy, Happy and Prosperous 2023 remembering to fasten your seatbelts.. the best is yet to come!
